What to expect from your new mattress purchase

Below is a few things you should be aware of with your new mattress set and some commonly asked questions. When Is It Going To Arrive?

If you have purchased from a local store, you can track your delivery with your phone number or invoice number.
If you purchased online, conuslt the order confirmation email for more detailed information.

Foundation

Make sure your mattress is on a solid foundation. If you purchased a flat or motion base with your mattress make sure that you have a center support leg touching the ground on your frame if the mattress is a Queen or King size. This will ensure that your mattress has the proper support to properly support you!


Get Settled In

Your new mattress will likely take some getting used to. It’s often the case that when you sleep on a new mattress that your body will have a short adjustment period. It could day a few days up to a few weeks to adjust to the new mattress. This is completely normal and no cause for concern. You need some time to get acquainted with your new sleep system!


Sleep Accessories

Accessories are crucial to your new sleep experience. Makes sure you have a comfortable pillow and cozy sheets. This will add to your experience. We also highly recommend a waterproof mattress protector to protect your new investment. Every mattress warranty requires the mattress to be free of stains in order for the warranty to be valid. Here at the Bed Store we have many mattress protector options along with any other conceivable sleep accessory to make sure you’re tucked in cozy on that incredible new mattress.

The good news for you is all Bed Store mattresses do have incredible warranties that cover a myriad of manufacturer defects. It's important to remember the following regarding mattress warranties...

All Warranties are backed/upheld by the product manufacturer and not The Bed Store

The Bed Store will, however, assist you with the service of your warranty as the manufacturer's warranty will permit. (ie. TEMPUR-Pedic handles all their warranties in-house)

Please reference your warranty packet

You received at point of sale. It's for your particular manufacturer's warranty procedures. In some cases manufacturers service their warranties themselves. In this case you will be directed to that manufacturer.

Please remember that warranty inspections and re-deliveries may include fees

These are the responsibility of you the customer.

You must have your original invoice

In order to file a warranty claim, you must have the original invoice.

All mattress warranties regardless of manufacturer will not cover a mattress with stains.

Your warranty will be void if a stain is present. Hopefully you purchased a quality mattress protector when you purchased your mattress. If so, this will not be an issue.

We are sure that you will thoroughly enjoy your new mattress but below are some tips to help you get the most out of the experience as well as what you can expect when getting that mattress home.

  1. Your mattress will need to break in. Just like a good pair of shoes, your mattress will need to break in. This usually takes up to 10 days sometimes a little longer.

  2. In some cases you may think that your mattress is more firm than the one you laid on in the store. This is a normal occurrence and is due to the materials being brand new. They will soften over time. That is completely normal.

  3. New product odor is normal. At The Bed Store all our mattresses are factory fresh. So, brand new mattresses utilize materials that may omit an odor. This will dissipate quickly after opening the product and is completely safe.

  4. Your new mattress requires proper support. This means a frame with a center support. This is defined as a support leg touching the floor in the middle of the mattress. This is required for Queen and King size and is recommended for full and twin size.
