The number one mattress complaint is sagging; you know, those gynormous sinking spots right where your body lies.  They are not only unsightly, they greatly alter the comfort and support of your mattress and rob you of your sleep.

Typically a mattress should be replaced every 6 to 8 years, but with the advent of the new "super plush" mattresses we are seeing the increase of body impressions early in the ownership cycle and we are experiencing many more consumer complaints in the mattress industry.  This is caused by adding so many comfort layers to the top of the support structures of the basic mattresses.  The reason for adding these additional layers is to increase the comfort of the mattress.  However, the negative side of this is that the more you stack on top of the mattress, the greater the body impression, regardless of brand or price.  (This is a cold hard fact and if any salesperson tells you otherwise, run!)

Any body impression over 3/4 of an inch can greatly affect the support and comfort of your mattress so begin shopping for "sag proof" mattresses when it's time for your new mattress.  Remember, the more quilting materials your new mattress has stack on it, the sooner and deeper it will sag.  Check out The Bed Store's new line of Certified Sag Proof mattresses guaranteed to not take more than a 1/2" body impression during the warranted life of the mattress.
